Corker supports passage of the Marriage Amendment

Bob issued this statement earlier today, making it clear to all in Tennessee, that he supports the constitutional amendment that just failed in a Senate closure vote.

Senate Roll Call Vote

Chattanooga - Today, Bob Corker released the following statement expressing disappointment in the Senate’s vote to block a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.

“Marriage should be between one man and one woman. It is the cornerstone of our society, and should be protected from judges who have misinterpreted their role in a constitutional democracy. If in the Senate, I would have voted for the constitutional amendment.”
