Yesterday, the Chattanoogan.com reported that Bob Corker is the first candidate to publicly accept an invitation by the Associated Press to participate in a candidate forum in February. Based on each of the Republican primary candidates strengths, this debate and those that follow should benefit Corker significantly more than any of the other Republican candidtes. Here is the article in full.

Bob Corker’s campaign for the United States Senate announced Wednesday that it has accepted an invitation by the Associated Press and the Tennessee Press Association to participate in a candidate forum at their annual winter meeting on Feb. 9.
“We have spent the last year building a strong grassroots organization and spreading our conservative and constructive message across Tennessee,” said Mr. Corker. “This positive message of using conservative principles to get results is resonating with voters and I look forward to sharing it further at this event.”
The two-hour candidate forum is scheduled to take place in Nashville before an audience of reporters and editors of the Tennessee Press Association. Clint Brewer of the Lebanon Democrat will be the moderator.
“I am excited about this forum because it provides an opportunity for all of the candidates to vigorously debate the vital issues facing our state and country in a format that highlights the differences and similarities in each of our platforms,” said the former Chattanooga mayor.

This is not a debate! It's a forum! There's a WORLD of difference between the two...and you know it! The fact that you keep errouneously touting it as a "debate" means one of two things: (1) you don't know the meaning of the word (in which case you should visit the Van Wagon where my guest bloggers have provided a great definition even you could understand), or (2) you're deliberately decieving Tennessee voters...again. Keeping up this deceptive game doesn't bolster Corker's credibilty.
Your headline is misleading. Corker is not first to accept a debate. He is, in fact, the only one not to agree to appear at the first debate of the season sponsored by the Main Street Journal.
As more and more people hear Bob Corker speak they will come to learn that he is truly the right man to serve as are next United States Senator, and at this forum he will prove that.
"As more and more people hear Bob Corker speak they will come to learn that he is truly the right man..."
How can they see him speak if he refuses to show up to the debate? Sure he can read talking points off Q-cards, but can he stand the heat of two TRUE conservatives bearing down on him and exposing him for what he is?
You also said: "this forum he will prove that." NO, it really won't all this NON-DEBATE forum will show is that Corker is well-rehearsed! We already knew that! The test of being a god senator is not being able to memorize talking points and spit them gack out like a robot. There's no sincerity...no debth behind the words. Because he doesn't mean them! He's an INAUTHENTIC conservative; and a debate will show that! Too bad Corker's is too big of a coward to accept.
Well too bad that all Bryant and Hillary can do is talk about how they are the greatest Republicans ever but have done nothing to help improve the lives of other people, Bob Corker is the only person in this race who not only says he will do what is right but will also have the courage and integrity to do the right thing while staying true to his conservative principles and beliefs.
